What a great week it’s been for our Ryan Elementary Bobcats! 🎈 Our Thursday AR kickoff theme was "Up, Up, and Away!" and our students dressed in vibrant hot air balloon colors to celebrate. We had an amazing time reading "Once Upon a Balloon" together.

Buzzing with excitement for our Wednesday AR kickoff! 🐝 Our theme was "Don't Bug Me, I'm Buzzing!" and our students truly embraced it. The halls of Ryan Elementary were filled with adorable bees and creative bugs. We had a wonderful time reading "Bumblebee Queen" together.

🚀Our Tuesday AR kickoff was a blast as we were "Soaring Through the Skies!" Students transformed into awesome astronauts and daring pilots, ready to explore the final frontier. We had a great time reading "Eight Days Gone" and launching into a new year of reading adventures.

ATTENTION Parents: -First Day of School Arrival/Dismissal Info Doors open at 7:15am 🚗 ECC (PreK3-Kinder) Arrival/Dismissal: Enter from Musser St. on back of school. 🚗 1st -5th grade Arrival / Dismissal: Enter from Martin St. on west of school. 🚫 NO DROP OFFs ON CLARK ST.

Attention Ryan Elementary Parents! As we get ready for the new school year, we want to make sure everyone is familiar with our traffic plan for student drop-off and pick-up. Your child's safety is our top priority! Please take a moment to review the attached traffic maps. Key things to remember: * No Drop-Off in the Front: Student drop-off is NOT permitted on Clark Blvd. Please use the designated areas in the back and side of the school. * Safety First: We ask that all drivers remain patient and obey the traffic arrows. The speed limit is 5 mph. * Stay Off the Phone: For the safety of our students and staff, please do not use your cell phone while in the pick-up and drop-off lanes. Thank you for your cooperation in making our school a safe place for everyone! We can't wait to see you all!

First Day Drop-Off Procedure:
-Only ECC parents will be allowed to walk their child into the building for drop-off on the first day.
-To ensure the safety of all students, there will be no exceptions to this rule. We appreciate your cooperation!

Campus Daily Schedule:
Monday - Thursday: 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Fridays: 7:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Laredo’s combined law enforcement officials including Laredo ISD Police Departments, in conjunction with the City of Laredo Police Department, the Webb County Sheriff’s Office, and the Constable’s Office reminded the public about school bus safety, speed limits and the use of electronic devices while driving in school zones. Monday, August 11, is the first day of class for Laredo ISD.

Get ready, 4th graders! 🏐 It's time for volleyball tryouts at Ryan Elementary.

Tryouts are August 12-14 from 4:30-6 PM in the Ryan Elementary gym.

This is a closed tryout, so be sure to bring your A-game!
